Hind ki Chaddar
Guru Tegh Bahadur listens to Kashmiri Pandits who were persecuted and being forced to convert to Islam by the Mughals. The Guru took it upon himself to stop the injustice challenging the Mughal emperor to convert him first. When the emperor failed to do so he tortured the pious Guru and his companions to death. This supreme sacrifice earned him the title of ‘Hind ki Chaddar’ meaning savior of India’s honour.
