Ram Aggarwall founded
All India Arts in 2007. He has
long been involved in generating and implementing
successful projects that contribute to upholding
Indian cultural values and Indian heritage.
This passion was recognised at the
24th Indian Congress of non-resident Indians
and in 2005 he was awarded the Hind Ratan
Award for outstanding service achievements.
He is also involved with a charity, which
is primarily concerned with water projects,
micro banking and regeneration of poor villages.
His love for Mother India inspired
and led him to undertake this unique art
project. He feels very strongly that we
should have the courage to remember Indian
history without any shame and use this knowledge
to avoid mistakes made in the past.
‘As an Indian I feel what is lacking
in Indians all over the world is awareness
and a real appreciation of their own culture
and history. We all share such a rich and
unique heritage, one that is not being fully
comprehended and valued. This is partly
because it is not being recorded and passed
on to the next generations. It is also because
we are not investing time and our energy
into making sure of this. I strongly believe
that we stand too much to loose if we do
not take the time and put effort to increase
our awareness about our own culture, heroes,
historical events and pass this valuable
and awesome knowledge on. This is the fundamental
thought behind the conceptualisation of
collection of All India Arts.’
