Gopal Swami Khetanchi
A talented artist whose style cannot be described by one word,Khetanchi’s works have been in many styles that span from romanticism to deep realism.
He has painted with great passion to produce powerful masterpieces such as Jhansi Ki Rani and Maharana Pratap in Mera Bharat Mahan. The brush strokes evoke a powerful sense of the raging battlefields and the determination of the main subjects to protect their motherland and people. He says that working on our project has been a milestone in his career as it has given him an opportunity to pour his patriotic feelings on to the canvas.
He was born and brought up in Rajasthan in an area surrounded by sand dunes. He was able to see nature’s special colours, tone and texture in them. He grew up appreciating the history and the rich variety of the land of the brave warriors and fell in love with the unparalleled beauty of Rajput women as can be seen from his paintings in the Desi Images section.
He has won several awards and his works have been exhibited widely in India. |
